Original Wording of “Our Father”

 

Originally, the well-know prayer that starts with the words “Our Father” was written in Greek:

 

ΠΑΤΕΡ ΗΜΩΝ Ο ΕΝ ΤΟΙΣ ΟΥΡΑΝΟΙΣ

ΑΓΙΑΣΘΗΤΩ ΤΟ ΟΝΟΜΑ ΣΟΥ

ΕΛΘΕΤΩ Η ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΑ ΣΟΥ

ΓΕΝΗΘΗΤΩ ΤΟ ΘΕΛΗΜΑ ΣΟΥ,

ΩΣ ΕΝ ΟΥΡΑΝΩ ΚΑΙ ΕΠΙ ΤΗΣ ΓΗΣ

ΤΟΝ ΑΡΤΟΝ ΗΜΩΝ ΤΟΝ ΕΠΙΟΥΣΙΟΝ

ΔΟΣ ΗΜΙΝ ΣΗΜΕΡΟΝ

ΚΑΙ ΑΦΕΣ ΗΜΙΝ ΤΑ ΟΦΕΙΛΗΜΑΤΑ ΗΜΩΝ,

Transliterated to phonetic Greek, this becomes:

 

Pater hêmôn ho en toes ouranoes,

hagiasthêtô to onoma sou.

Elthetô basileia sou.

Genêthêtô to thelêma sou,

hôs en ouranô, kae epi tês gês.

 

Ton arton hêmôn ton epiousion dos hêmin sêmeron.

Kae aphes hêmin ta opheilêmata hêmôn,

hôs kae hêmeis aphiemen toes opheiletaes hêmôn.

Kae eisenenkês hêmas eis peirasmon,

alla rhysae hêmas apo tou ponerou.

 

Hoti sou estin basileia,

kae dynamis,

kae doxa,

eis tous aeônas.

 

The key word for truly understanding the meaning of this prayer is “epiousion”, in the middle of the first line of the middle part. Although it is crystal clear that this is a Greek word, it is also a very unusual Greek word. It is the contraction of the words “epi” and “ousios”. While “epi” can mean “upon”, “on”, “over”, “near”, “at”, “before”, ot “after”, “ousios” means “substance” or “essence”. Wholly Science translates “epiousion” as the “Proto Substance”, referring to the Energetic Essences of the Proto World.

 

Unfortunately, this word was later on incorrectly translated into Latin:

 

Pater noster, qui es in cœlis,

sanctificatur nomen tuum.

Adveniat regnum tuum.

Fiat voluntas tua,

sicut in cœlo, et in terra.

 

Panem nostrum cotidianum da nobis hodie.

Et dimitte nobis debita nostra,

sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.

Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,

sed libera nos a malo.

 

Quia tuum est regnum,

et potestas,

et gloria,

in saecula.

 

Panem” means “bread”, which is a Shadow Substance, and not a Proto Substance. Ever since, this wrong translation remained to be used, also in English:

 

Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy Name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

 

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

 

For thine is the Kingdom,

and the Power,

and the Glory,

for ever and ever.

 

Below, the Aramaic version of this prayer helps us to reconstruct its original wording:

 

Abwûn

O Cosmic Birther,

from whom the breath of life comes,

d'bwaschmâja

who fills all realms of sound,

light and vibration.

Nethkâdasch schmach

May Your Light be experienced

in my utmost holiest.

Têtê malkuthach.

Thou Heavenly Domain approaches us.

Nehwê tzevjânach aikâna

d'bwaschmâja af b'arha.

Let Thou Will come true in the universe

just as on earth.

Hawvlân lachma d'sûnkanân jaomâna.

Give us wisdom for our daily need.

Waschboklân chaubên wachtahên aikâna

daf chnân schwoken l'chaijabên.

Detach the fetters of faults that bind us,

like we let go the guilt of others.

Wela tachlân l'nesjuna

ela patzân min bischa.

Let us not be lost in superficial things,

but let us be freed from that

what keeps us off from our true purpose.

Metol dilachie malkutha wahaila

wateschbuchta l'ahlâm almîn.

From Thou comes the All-Working Will,

the lively strength to act,

the song that beautifies all,

and renews itself from age to age.

Aa meen.

Sealed in trust, faith and truth.

 

The word that has here been translated as “universe” literally means “all that vibrates”, which is beautifully pointing out the very essence of the Wholly Cosmos.

 

Next, in this translation, “wisdom” is used, as this is indeed a good interpretation of Proto Substance.

 

The usual mistranslation of this prayer ends with “Amen”, which is a call to Amun, the Hidden One, also known as the Dark Lord. Our Father, who art in heaven, is most certainly not this Lord of Darkness. Our Father, who art in heaven, is instead the Cosmic Birther,

from whom the breath of life comes. Anyone who pronounce the name of Amen at the end of this prayer (unconsciously) disowns our Lord of the Light.

 

The Aramaic version ends with “Aa meen”, which means “Sealed in trust, faith and truth”. Even the slightest suggestion that this ending phrase became translated as “Amen” is utterly misleading, as it was not part of the original Greek version of this prayer.

 

 

Heavenly Father and Earthly Mother

 

Next to the Prayer for our Heavenly Father, there is also a Prayer for our Earthly Mother. That complementary prayer has been written down in the Essene Gospel of Peace (link). Unfortunately, I was not able to find the original wording of this Yin prayer. The wording in the English version of the Essene Gospel of Peace is a follows:

 

Our Mother which art upon earth,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come,

and Thy will be done in us,

as it is in thee.

As Thou sendest every day thy angels,

send them to us also.

Forgive us our sins,

as we atone all our sins against Thee.

And lead us not into sickness,

but deliver us from all evil,

for Thine is the earth, the body, and the health.
