The Latin pateō is the present infinitive of the verb patēre, meaning “to be open”, “to be revealed”, or “to no longer be hidden”. The purpose of this Pateo.nl website is to reveal the truth about everything that can help us to learn to live more consciously and to develop our consciousness. This is called self-development here. The primary target group for the Pateo.nl website is the Pateo Community, consisting of people who want to develop themselves through Wholly Science. (By the way, NL in this domain name stands for Natural Logic, as Pateo.NL is explicitly multilingual.)

Truth is agreement with reality. However, what this reality is (or would be) is not the same for everyone. Moreover, Wholly Science shows that someone’s reality depends on their level of consciousness. Someone with a higher level of consciousness can grasp the reality of someone with a lower level of consciousness, while the reverse is absolutely impossible. In other words, a higher truth encompasses a lower truth, while a lower truth excludes a higher truth.

Pateo is a training and educational institute specializing in self-development, registered with Chamber of Commerce number 99342448 and located in The Hague, the Netherlands. Pateo is the sole proprietorship of psychologist Dr. J.H. Oldenkamp, the founder of Wholly Science.

Johan Oldenkamp is a passionate researcher who perseveres until he discovers the truth. He investigates everything he deems important. Wholly Science is the reviving reunification of sound Science and solid Spirituality. This makes Wholly Science the solution to three fundamental contemporary problems. First, university science and institutionalized spirituality (that is, organized religions) have been separated since the 17th century, and became opposites from the late 19th century onward. In reality, however, sound Science and solid Spirituality are like two sides of the same coin of the whole truth. Separated, both sides offer (considerably) less than half of this, and therein we find both other problems. The second problem is namely that university science is not at all about impartial truth-finding, but about the obstinate adherence to unfounded dogmas. Anyone who no longer believes in these unproven assumptions is subsequently treated as a heretic. University science is therefore nothing more than a sectarian belief system, which we refer to here as scientism. Likewise, every form of exoteric spirituality lacks a rock-solid foundation, making it nothing more than pie-in-the-sky fantasy, which we refer to here as phantasism. This, therefore, presents the third major problem. Religious believers, however, are so brainwashed that they believe that clinging to whatever they belief (as a surrogate for truly knowing) is their strength, while in reality, this is their greatest weakness. In short, Wholly Science offers the only coherent solution to the three fundamental contemporary problems of division, scientism, and phantasism. Wholly Science is thus the new paradigm that is simultaneously ancient. Therefore, Wholly Science is referred to as the Timeless Overall Paradigm (abbreviated as TOP). In itself, Wholly Science isn’t difficult at all, and neither is applying it to ourselves. But this only applies if there is an objective, that is, unbiased view of reality, both externally and internally. Because this isn’t initially the case for anyone, we must begin by eliminating all inaccuracies in our ways of thinking and perceiving. And because unlearning something old is much more difficult than learning something new (based on Wholly Science), many experience resistance. Furthermore, just like climbing a mountain, it becomes increasingly difficult to make progress. But as with everything, perseverance ultimately wins.
