Master Gurdjieff’s approach was to give his students as little theory as possible, so that their Knowing would not become too heavy for their Being. Although this is an excellent approach, it does make the students dependent on the teacher. That is why a different approach was chosen for Wholly Science, in which its students are made responsible for their Knowing (and of course also for their Being) from the very start. However, all the knowledge from the Fourth Way can be found in the Wholly Science Education Program, and fully substantiated by explaining the underlying logic.
