Genesis 9:1 – 9:19

The Creation of the Covenant

The Genuine Bible

9:1 God blessed Noë, and his sons, and said to them: “Increase and multiply, and fulfill the earth and gain dominion over it.
2 And the fear of you and trembling will be upon all the wild beasts of the earth, upon all the winged of the heaven, and upon all things moving upon the earth, and upon all the fish of the sea. Under your hands, I have given them to you.
3 And every creeping which is living shall be to you for food. As herbs of pasture grass, I have given to you all.
4 But flesh with blood of Soul, you shall not eat.
5 And for your blood of your Soul from out of the hand of all the wild beasts, I shall require it; from out of the hand of a human’s brother, I shall require it.
6 The one shedding blood of a human, in return his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God, I made the human.
7 But you: increase and multiply, and fulfill the earth, and gain dominion over it.”
8 And God said to Noë, and to his sons with him, saying:
9 “And behold, I raise up My Covenant to you, and to your seed after you,
10 and every living Soul after you, from birds, and from cattle, and with all the wild beasts of the earth, as many as are with you, from all the ones coming forth from out of the box.
11 And I will to make to stand My Covenant with you, and all flesh will not any longer die from the water of the flood, and there shall not be any longer a flood of water to corrupt all the earth.”
12 And the Lord God said to Noë: “This is the sign of the Covenant which I set between Me and you, and between every living Soul which is with you, for Aeonial generations.
13 I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of Covenant between Me and the earth.
14 And it shall be when I gather clouds upon the earth, that My bow shall be seen in the cloud.
15 And I will remember My Covenant, which is between Me and you, and between every living Soul in all flesh. And there shall no longer be water for a flood, so as to wipe away all flesh.
16 And My bow will be in the cloud, and I will see it to remember the Aeonial Covenant between Me and the earth, and between every living Soul which is in all flesh upon the earth.”
17 And God said to Noë: “This is the sign of the Covenant, which I have made between Me and all flesh which is upon the earth.”
18 Now, the sons of Noë which came out of the box, were Sem, Cham, Japheth. And Cham was father of Chanaän.
19 These three are the sons of Noë. From these [three], [humans] were dispersed over all the earth.
